Morning Prayer

My mum gave me 'The Book of Prayers' by Renuka Narayanan (I suspect that every year I remain unmarried, she worries increasingly about my godlessness). It's a compilation of hymns & couplets from nearly every religion in my knowledge.
Found this one to be quite pretty and empowering:

Namastestu maha maye (Hail, great goddess)
Sri peethe sura pujite (Seated on your mystic throne)
Shankh-chakra-gadha haste (Holding conch, discus and mace)
Mahalakshmi namostute (Mahalakshmi, we salute you)
~ Sri Lakshmi Ashtakam

Also, try telling her she's dressed in a manner that's just 'asking for it'....

If She Carries Mace, So Can We

Trick Question

Riddle me this:
You're in a darkened parking lot post 10 pm and you're straining your eyes to make sense of the void because the street lights are out.
How do you locate and make it to your vehicle without getting lost?

You recall what you read in the papers this morning: "The past two months have seen a spate of cases of child domestic abuse in one form or another. What is more shocking is that most of these cases have been reported from well-to-do and educated families."

You heave a sigh of relief as you realise that you come from a 'well-to-do and educated family' and use the sunshine coming out of your ass to find your car.
