I was doing some research for a TV show, so didn't want to write too much about locations where the crew will want to shoot. :)Aquatic Statichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13012433579722596255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420229983156320169.post-15736291041473710162010-09-07T22:26:01.870+05:302010-09-07T22:26:01.870+05:30Hi!

It is simply my personal experience of it. That to, over just 5 days which is hardly enough time to truly understand the place.

Like you said: Simply too much to be covered. Thanks for your valuable comment :)Aquatic Statichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13012433579722596255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420229983156320169.post-77215957335527121292010-08-30T14:39:09.986+05:302010-08-30T14:39:09.986+05:30Nice article...But have missed many points which a...Nice article...But have missed many points which are really note worthy. Bhubaneswar, a planned city, is one among very few cities which adheres by the strict Municipality rules: Separate vending zone, no hawkers on the road, clean roads with trees by both the sides. You surely have missed Khandagiri, Dhauligiri, Udayagiri with beautiful statues of Budhha. Its a perfect blend of history and the modernization with the historic temples on one side to the "Info City"- The Techno Park on the other side.
Satapada is the place which is surrounded by Chilika lake on one side by Bay Of Bengal on the other side. It has beautiful scenery. Dolphins are not trained so it is very natural that they won't be seen in the place where the motor boats are roaring.
Puri's temple is the only temple where the Lord has a lifestyle very similar to that of a human being. Hence Lord Jagannath is called "The Lord of People". The temple's art is just magnificent.
Konark, if you see in toto then its like a chariot driven by 16 horses. I am sad that you dint get a good guide but a good guide could have explained you all the sides of the temple along with the Natya Mandir where Orissi Dancers used to perform. Konark temple is known as "Sun Temple" and each side of the temple represents different time of a day through its art forms.
Northern Orissa has the finest water falls and beautiful peaks which are still unexplored by many.
Cuttack is famous for its fine Ivory works.
These are just few glimpses. There are just many...simply many to be covered...Sibanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06004379586735754006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420229983156320169.post-32385139699058020622010-08-30T11:51:00.484+05:302010-08-30T11:51:00.484+05:30Excellent! I remember our driver, courteous fellow he was, took us to a secluded beach far away from the Puri-Konark road and I, till date believe, it is the best beach in India. It was rocky, calm, empty and just out of this world!Preetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17720951142438179278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420229983156320169.post-70822948445906857602010-08-30T09:00:14.007+05:302010-08-30T09:00:14.007+05:30Far too short for such an eloquent description.
